Two local villages near Ubud are also worth the visit. The first is "Mas", which means "gold" in Bahasa Indonesia. Mas is the main village for wood-carving shops. Visitors may even custom design their own wooden objects. The second village is Tegallalang, which is located to the left of the large Arjuna statue. Tegallalang is one of the longest rows of art shops in Bali, where most handicrafts are manufactured. Exporters may want to visit this village for larger quantity purchases. Many art shops offer substantial discounts on handicrafts. Search the UbudVibe.com Directory to find your favourite shops! |
